Tinsel Trail has been a much anticipated herald to the holiday shopping season in the Portage County area since 1969. Tinsel Trail started as an actual “trail” to member’s homes that were decorated for the holiday season. Each home had a theme, like Bake Shop or Holiday Decorations for sale. Originally, every item was lovingly created by a Junior member. The first year they made $700. Today, Tinsel Trail is one of the areas largest and longest running art and craft shows and raises upwards of $8000 annually that is given right back to the community in the form of individual grants. Currently, this juried show is held at the new Holiday Inn in Stevens Point and features over 130 exclusive artists with items ranging from soy candles and dip mixes to artisan jewelry and handmade wooden toys. There is something for everyone at Tinsel Trail! We hope you will join us for the 39th Annual Tinsel Trail on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008. The Stevens Point Junior Woman's Club is excited to continue this fun tradition.
